How to fix the "Can't Reach Oculus Runtime Service" error in Oculus Home

Yesterday when I wanted to play with my Oculus Rift, I tried to open the Oculus Home app but suddenly I got the following error message: “Can’t Reach Oculus Runtime Service”. Really? I know that the Oculus Home app is still in Beta, but the app wasn’t able even to open and I got that message.

Well, if you are also getting this error I recommend you to do the following steps:

Open the Cortana search or simply open your default searcher and type Services. You can also go to Settings in your PC and type there the word Services, then select the option View local services.
Once you have the Services window opened you just need to find the Oculus VR Runtime Service and Stop it if it’s running, and then Start it again. In my case, the service wasn’t running so all I needed to do was to start the service.
Now you can open the Oculus Home app as usual and everything will run as expected 👍
