As many of you, I’ve already bought my Mobile license for GMS 2.0. I was so excited to start updating my Extensions and make them compatible with the new version of GMS. I started adding support to the Unity Ads Extension but only the iOS target was working properly.
Fortunately the GMS 18.104.22.168 version fixed some bugs that didn’t let us build Android projects:

And now the Unity Ads Android target is also working! 🎉

I’m happy to announce that I’ve released the new version 2.0.0 of my Unity Ads Extension. You can download it from the GameMaker Studio 2.0 IDE in the Marketplace option.
In addition, if you are still using GameMaker Studio 1.4 you’ll also be able to download the version 1.0.3 from the IDE. My plan is to keep updating this Extensions for both IDEs. It’s an extra work for me but I think that will help you a lot developing your games 😉
Due to this extra work, I’ve incremented the price of the Unity Ads Extension for future purchases. Don’t worry, if you previously bought it, you won’t need to pay again. That was my idea from the beginning, let you choose which IDE you want to use without paying an extra money. I hope I can keep on my way with this philosophy 👍
For the other three Extensions that I’ve made, I plan to do the same. I’ll add support for GameMaker Studio 2.0 and there will be two branches coexisting at the same time. Once there is a new SDK version or a new feature, I’ll update both branches and you’ll be able to download them through your IDE (GMS 1.4 or GMS 2.0, whatever you are using).
Those who are familiarized with Git repositories, I want to show you how the life of these projects will be:
Every time I update an Extension, I need to upload it from both IDEs to the Marketplace… 😓 It’s a chaos and I hope in a near future, YoYo Games improve this step because it’s really exhausting.
I encourage you to check the Trello boards of every Extension to get known about its progress:
There you’ll find new info related with the two existing GMS IDEs, the (Available GMS 2.0) and the (Available GMS 1.4) labels. That’s a reference to know the current version for every GMS IDE and the changes that have been made.
Also you can follow me on Twitter, I always tweet about new updates and improvements of my GameMaker Extensions.
I hope you enjoy the GameMaker Studio 2.0 and my GameMaker Extensions.
And as usual I say, have a nice day! 😄
